We live in the United States, greatest nation on earth right…. Specifically the Uintah Basin with vast Natural Gas Fields! Take a look at Qatar, and their “Emerald City” built in the desert. Only a generation ago they were living in tents and riding camels.

Then ask what are we doing with our wealth, our natural resources? How many jobs have we created?  Are our citizens given free health care, education, the arts? Simply put our hard working men and women have lost their jobs, their homes and worry about healthcare for their children. We may be good at getting it out of the ground, but it appears we are not to good at managing our wealth or growing our communities for the good of all! People say yes but they do not live in a Democracy they are ruled, POINTLESS we have the tools, resources and ability to make a change, how far down do we go before we take the bull by the horns and start taking care of our citizens ? BP Emphasizes that Disagreement With Other Parties Will Not Diminish Its Promise to Clean Up the Spill and Pay Legitimate Claims – 18 June.

Today BP reiterated its pledge to clean up the oil and gas spill in the Gulf of Mexico and to pay all legitimate claims arising from the spill, even though another party already is disputing its responsibility for costs associated with the Deep-water Horizon incident and the resulting spill.

Lets wake up, An ecosystem is dying! The underwater oil field still holds 94 to 97 percent of its oil, meaning that it could keep gushing for another two to four years.  Living in oil country the word on the street that it is just not about capping the well!  But the actual formations were split and that oil is also seeping from cracks in the ocean floor. 

 

Yes, BP  is sitting at the wheel but where was the oversight and where is it now!  I believe that oil is a valuable resource that when managed correctly is an excellent form of energy!  The problem again is integrity.  Who was asleep at the wheel? That’s the question, when need to ask when we start to talk about the future of drilling! There were to many people asleep at the wheel and lacking the integrity to do the right thing .  From politicians  and government agencies who had oversight responsibilities to the good ole boy on the boat who said I told you this would happen!  From the President on down, who ever failed to do their job needs to be canned! Who had the courage to do the right thing! No one ! This is not about killing an industry! This is about integrity! On every single level there were screw ups  failing to do their job.  BP should pay but so should any government agency who failed to supervise, monitor, or shut down the rig until it was right! Period! 

 

 If it would have managed correctly from the Government side to BP we would not have this problem! Now President Obama is spinning  the whole  situation for political gains! Unbelievable! I am amazed that the American people can’t see the forest for the trees!  We have people in power who play politics regardless of what is going on around them!  who wanted to please the oil company instead of doing their job! Frankly, nothings changed, certainly everyone is looking to BP for answers and clean up! Where is the accountability from the government agency who had oversight! 

 

My fellow “Patriots” take a look at every tough situation Americans are facing  right now, and the so-called leaders who are ignoring what’s directly in front of them! The Oil Spill is one of several disasters we are going to face with this type of leadership!  There were warning signs, things that the government and BP could have done to prevent this.  They choose to do nothing! The same climax to events is going on with Iran, Korea, Integration Issues, Banking, The Stimulus!  Everyone is looking the other way instead of putting a stop to what will happen! It’s only a matter of time!  And then again someone else will be to blame and the President and all his men will have another spinfest!

 

 So called Statesmen, quit blaming others, quit  playing politics, anticipate the outcomes from your lackadaisical behavior!  That the lack of integrity and foresight is what put us in this situation. Not just BP or failed equipment!  It was a human failure, and we are looking at failed leadership in resolving the problem! We have other issues that can “BLOW OUT” like the BP Oil Well.  The problem is not drilling for oil the problem is lack of leadership and accoutability! The BP Oil Disaster is being spinned for President OBama’s  political agenda., instead of a resolution!  Telling me we are in as deep of trouble as that well is over our head!

 Civil liberties are  rights and freedoms  that protect an individual from the state. Civil liberties set limits on government so that its members cannot abuse their power and interfere unduly with the lives of private citizens.

Who is this government trying to fool with the passing of Obama Care!  I was under the impression that Mr. Obama Cared about our great country. A country built on freedoms and liberties!  Honestly, our liberties have been taken away, and My Fellow Patriots we have been infected with a disease  that can ultimately bring down the constitution!

The protection of civil liberties is a key responsibility of all citizens!  As citizens we voted in so called “Statesmen” and they sold us out! It is amazing that the rise to so called power promotes individuals to move so far away from what  has made this country  great.  My Fellow Patriots this is the beginning, since Obama Care  passed, I have been deeply sickened!  I have seen multiple interviews of so called Statesmen, that arrogantly parade and trample on our  liberties for the sake of a presidency.  The passive aggressive twisting of arms, poking in chests, back room deals, etc etc. has been going on for some time! Truly the rhetoric of passing Health Care by any means necessary is sickening. 

Nancy Pelosi, smiling for an interview when it was suggested that she was the most powerful women. Joe Biden’s “F” bomb and the spinning to suggest that Obama Care is in the best interest of the American People.  

Obama Care may have some good points, but taking away the liberties of the American People, taking away freedoms cannot justify any good point!

 Simply stated, When we  loose our freedom, our liberties! There is not a health care plan that can cure the disease we have been so viciously infected with!

Fox News host Glenn Beck, armed with his trademark chalkboard, blamed “progressivism ” for America’s problems Saturday in his keynote speech that brought the annual Conservative Political Action Conference to a close.

The chalkboard, a prop that he uses frequently on his top-rated show, brought the audience to its feet. Beck wrote “Progressivism” on it to underscore his belief in what America is suffering from.

When Beck asked what America is suffering from, someone shouted “President Obama,” though Beck, an outspoken critic of the president, said it’s “not that simple.”

Beck rejected the notion that the Republican Party should expand its tent to include progressives.

“What is this? A circus?” he said, drawing laughter. “America is not a clown show. America is an idea that sets people free.” …….( Fox News)

“Fellow Patriots”  America is not a clown show and although it appears as a three ring circus!  Glenn is on the money when he says it is not that easy….referring to the comment that  “we are suffering from President Obama! “ 

No it’s not that easy because what we need to remember is that President Obama is one man, and what America is really suffering from ….is that lack of leaders that lead, demonstrate and remind the American people that the course  to maintaining  “Freedom” is and must be demonstrated in every idea, action, vote,  and hopefully discourse.  For Glenn it’s a blackboard, it may start as whisper for someone else…..

  The point is,  no one can be idle when so much is at stake.  We must hold politicians accountable!

Today I received a request for support from someone wanting to progress in the politcal arena….No way in hell!  When a politician promises one thing and acts differently in their personal or professional life.  I absolutely refuse to vote or support them period. 

When this country was founded we had men / statesmen that not only had a vision for what their life would be, but  more importantly they had a vision for what the life of American’s would be! 

They made personal sacrifices…. I’m tired of the media, and so-called leaders esteeming what should be a public servant above that of any American. I want some skin in the game…

I’m tired of hearing that someone in a leadership position did not pay their taxes, that someone spent X amount of dollars flying their new jet and spending over $100K for snacks.  We could go on and on with the lack of integrity  that has been demonstrated from every party!

American families are struggling and losing their homes.  I refuse to pay for this type of circus ticket.    I will spend my time and energy focusing on being a leader that knows what keeps us free! Every action, vote and “Discourse”

WASHINGTON—First lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday plans to unveil a campaign to fight childhood obesity, a cause that is becoming her top policy priority. Her campaign is part of a government effort to reframe the debate about the nation’s expanding waistlines. Top health officials, including Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, say they want to shift the conversation away from achieving a particular weight or dress size and instead emphasize the benefits of good nutrition and physical activity. In an event at the White House scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, Ms. Obama plans to outline an effort months in the making to improve childhood nutrition and physical activity. The White House in recent days has contacted some of the nation’s largest food companies to prepare them for its push. The U.S. obesity rate grew rapidly through the 1980s and 1990s, but figures released last month show the increase has slowed. About two-thirds of Americans are counted as either overweight or obese, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. Officials say that despite years of new regulations, the government still lacks an effective strategy to tackle the issue. One problem is that messages about avoiding unhealthy food tend to turn off Americans. “As America’s family doctor, I want to change the national conversation from a negative one about obesity and illness to a positive conversation about being healthy and being fit,” Dr. Benjamin says in a message posted on her Web site. That means Americans should eat nutritious foods, exercise regularly “and have fun doing it,” she says. Ms. Obama’s plan has four planks, according to people briefed on it. She wants to improve nutrition and physical education in schools; promote activity such as walking and biking in community planning; make healthy food more available, particularly in poor areas; and make nutrition information on food packages clearer.

Right on Michelle,  As a woman let’s lead by example! It appears that healthly athletic men are everywhere  and women are always left behind!  It is time to show what strong healthly women can accomplish! Certainly, you have accomplished a great deal!  Becoming  “Healthly” is not just eating less or playing more it is becoming physically, emotionally and spirtually strong!  This Tripod makes us healthly!

I have not written a post since November…..Why because I was waiting to see just how long it would take to make a decision regarding our “Troops in Afghanistan”, “The Job Summit” i.e. unemployment rates , “Heatlth Care Reform”  and the list could go on and on.   Frankly I am “Fed Up” with those that I have entrusted. I am now looking for a “TRUE STATESMAN”!

No Joke…A “True Statesman” fights for the rights of others and protects those that serve their county at all costs. Are we fighting for the rights of others? Are we committed to Democracy around the world and do we honestly care about our troops.  Hmmm!

I see that we are dragging our feet, trying to make the world happy!  Instead of saying we are the World’s  Leader and never opologizing for it! I am looking for a “True Statesman”  that will stand up and be counted for the people of Afghanistan, for our Troops, for the American People. 

The “Job Summit” what another joke! And what is the unemployment rate????  There is  more Oil in  Oil Shale located in the Uintah Basin than all the reserves in Saudi Arabia. Why isn’t it being developed? Why has the drilling slowed to the point that American’ s are losing their homes? Why  do we have American’s unemployed when we have the opportunity to solve our energy problems and put “Americans to Work”.  Want the world to stand up and take notice of American ingenuity! Give us a  “True Statesman” that say’s here is an opportunity that can improve the lives of Americans and  impact the world!   American’s that are willing to solve problems in any type of weather  instead of taking a Hawaiin Vacation!  Where are our “True Statesman”, that says enough is enough!  Not only was the mortgage crisis criminal  but it is as criminal to let American’s  loose their homes and livelyhood because the Government stands in the way of  private interprise!

No Joke we need a ”TRUE STATESMAN” that will work to  give dignity and resolve to the American people!  The American people are hard working and honest and when given the opportunity can solve  the world’s problems! In the word’s of President Regan, Government needs to get out of the way!  If you are wearing the title of a Statesman and refuse to fight for the American people frankly you need move on!

….and where were our “True Statesmen” when Health Care Reform, was approved  in the middle of the night?   No Joke it was  not from the Democratic ranks nor reaching across that isle to the  GOP ! I received an email from a local politician telling me not to worry about health care  reform because he was going to be in Washington to vote “NO”!  I do not need an E-PAT on the Head!  GOP you’ve knew this was coming! Democrats, shame on you for buying your votes!  Every interview conducted with Democrats and GOP members alike have mentioned that this is the way things are done in Washington!  This is nothing more than legalized extortion!

My comment to the GOP and Democrats alike is where is our ” TRUE STATESMEN”?

 Having a long distinguished career in Washington or your home state means diddly!  We are no longer impressed ! When you allow business as usual or when you allow lealized extortion!  We are very tired of the ”BUSINESS AS USUAL” excuse, ”FOR FAILURE”.  I did not think it was a joke when President Obama promised change! But that is what it is… a ”JOKE”.  Not a single thing has changed!  It’s business as usual!  It’s a shame that when given the opportunity to stand up and be counted not only with the American people but with the world, those entrusted drag their feet.  They disregard our opportunity to open their mouth and be proud of our heritage and our opportunity to be a “WORLD LEADER” on so many  levels. We are in dire need  of “TRUE STATESMEN”!

President Obama took time Thursday — before jetting off to Asia for a 10-day tour — to announce a December jobs summit aimed at synching job growth with the massive government spending meant to “break the back” of the recession. The announcement came as the Labor Department reported another 502,000 new jobless claims, two high-tech mainstays announced big layoffs and the unemployment rate reached 10.2 percent. Obama said the White House forum will gather CEOs, small business owners, economists, financial experts and representatives from labor unions and nonprofit groups “to talk about how we can work together to create jobs and get this economy moving again.” “We all know that there are limits to what government can and should do, even during such difficult times. But we have an obligation to consider every additional, responsible step that we can take to encourage and accelerate job creation in this country,” he said. He added that the forum is intended to prevent making “any ill-considered decisions — even with the best intentions — particularly at a time when our resources are so limited. But it’s just as important that we are open to any demonstrably good idea to supplement the steps we’ve already taken to put America back to work.” Nearly 16 million people are unemployed, and the economy shed a net total of 190,000 jobs in October, triggering the 10.2 percent unemployment rate. Microsoft announced last week that it is dropping 800 jobs. Obama last week signed a $24 billion economic stimulus bill that will extend unemployment benefits for up to 20 additional weeks — an extension he said will help more than 1 million Americans. Despite claiming credit for cutting middle class taxes and creating or saving more than 1 million jobs through the $787 billion stimulus plan signed in February, Obama said, more is needed to “encourage and accelerate job creation” “The economic growth that we’ve seen has not yet led to the job growth that we desperately need,” Obama said. “This is one of the great challenges that remains in our economy — a challenge that my administration is determined to meet,” he added. Next month’s summit will be the 12th Obama has hosted or attended since assuming the presidency, not counting a July “beer summit” aimed to tamp down a racially tinged dispute between Harvard Professor Henry Gates and Cambridge, Mass., Police Sgt. James Crowley, who arrested Gates in his home after reports of a break-in. At the White House, Obama held a fiscal responsibility summit in February, a health care summit in March and an Afghan-Pakistan summit in May. He has also attended G20 and G-8 meetings abroad as well as attended Russia, Mexico, NATO and Americas summits. Because economic prosperity at home is tied to economies around the world, the president said he plans to talk about a strategy for growth with leaders while he is in Asia in the coming week. “Prosperity around the world is no longer as dependent on American consumption and borrowing, but rather more on American innovation and products,” he said. Last week’s dismal unemployment report showed that job losses remain widespread across many industries. Manufacturers eliminated a net total of 61,000 jobs, the most in four months. Construction shed 62,000 jobs, down slightly from the previous month. Retailers, the financial sector and leisure and hospitality companies all continued to reduce payrolls. The economy has lost a net total of 7.3 million jobs since the recession began in December 2007. The average work week was unchanged at 33 hours, a disappointment because employers are expected to add more hours for current workers before they begin hiring new ones. Professional and business services companies, however, added 18,000 jobs. And temporary employment grew by 33,700 jobs, after losing positions for months.

“Fellow Patriots”  take a look at our economy, the promises  of additional employement with  a stimuls package.  It appears that the cart is before the horse in figuring out how to grow our economy!  Another act of desperation. Who are the great thinkers that put a stimuls package a head of a plan on how to grown our economy.  President Obama has only found the time to speak Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the commander of our Afghan forces, one time in 70 days but he has found the time to hop a plane and fly to Denmark to try and get the Olympic games brought to Chicago in 2016. The President has yet to answer the General’s August 30th request for more troops, since which time 43 brave Americans in uniform have given their lives. On the surface, it would appear that securing the games for his home town is more important to the President than winning the war on terror or keeping the respect and trust of our Arab allies.

“Fellow Patriots “  prior to the failure of getting the Olympics the stage was set  for failure in Afghanistan. Because it has not been a priority!  Let’s  reemphasize the importance of going and speaking with our American Commanders!  Let’s get our priorities and nation in order! Mr. President so many Americans wish you would lead the way,  you’ve been given by the people the opportunity and now  on so many levels we question your priorities and your leadership abilities.  We  will continue to pray for you….

President Obama, along with the leaders of Britain and France, demanded Friday that Iran immediately allow international weapons monitors to inspect a nuclear facility the Islamic Republic acknowledges it has been secretly building for years.

Obama, joined by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and French President Nicolas Sarkozy at the opening of the G-20 economic summit in Pittsburgh, warned Iran that it will be “held accountable” to an impatient world community if it does not fully disclose its nuclear ambitions.

“Iran has the right for peaceful power, but the size of the facility is inconsistent with a peaceful program,” Obama said. “Iran is breaking rules that all nations must follow, endangering the world non-nuclear proliferation regime … and the security of the world.”

Sarkozy said Iran has until December to comply or face sanctions. “This is for peace and stability,” the French leader said. Brown accused Iran of “serial deception.”

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also called for an immediate probe of the site by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Before the public condemnation, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad warned Obama to back off.

“If I were Obama’s adviser, I would definitely advise him to refrain making this statement because it is definitely a mistake,” Ahmadinejad told TIME magazine in an interview about an hour before Obama spoke. 

Ahmadinejad told the magazine that Iran was not keeping anything from the International Atomic Energy Agency.

“We have no secrecy, we work within the framework of the IAEA,” he said.

“Fellow Patriots” what is unfolding before  our eyes????  The security of the world! WOW, and then there  is Afghanistan which also threathens our safety!  It is time to stand up and be counted!  We are a world power, no opologizes…period!  From our President on down, on every level, it needs to be  communicated   that we will not tolerate any action, or allow training camps and groups that will ultimately threaten not only our safety as “Americans” as “Patriots” but the security of the world.”  We need to demand that our leaders, remember all those that went before us…who sacrificed that we may voice our opinions, who gave us safety, that they did not shrink before any group or country, but stood firm in saying yes we are Americans and we are not only concerned about our welfare but other’s around the world!  Let’s communicate that!  We are concerned about the security of the world.”

As American’s I am certain that many things could have been done differently, been done better, there are always choices  to be made! But remember in the words of “Patrick Henry” as we speak to the world….“Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings. “ 

Fellow Patriots, we need to revere GOD above all earthly kings! We need to thank GOD for our country, and the only fear we should have is to be found standing   disloyal toward the Majesty of Heaven!  Speak Up!  Speak Out! Speak your Discourse!
